Does Donovan ever answer his phone!
Donovan is a busy person, and really bad at answering the phone, and even worse at checking his messages. When Donovan is troubleshooting a clients electronic device, he is giving it 100% of his attention. This means, he probably won't answer the phone at that moment. If he does not return your call, most likely, there is nothing new to report on the progress of your unit. Mornings are the best time to catch Donovan.
Why does it take so long for a repair?
Repair turnaround times depend on a variety of factors. There are emergency repairs that come into Can-Tek, daily, these take precedent. If something electronic breaks, and there is a work crew standing around a job site, waiting for things to get fixed, that is first. If an item requires parts, that may extend the turnaround time. If a problem, is just plain tough to troubleshoot, that will have an unpredictable turnaround time. Most repairs are completed in a reasonable time, with many being completed in 1-3 days.
Are parts easy to get, how long does it take?
In this world of ever changing technology, getting parts depends on many factors. Manufacturers of consumer devices have drifted away from service work, so manufacture specific parts are harder to come by. Luckily, 95% of the parts required in day to day repairs are available from electronic component distributors, overnight (Monday to Thursday). Donovan has lots of experience sourcing parts, and can locate parts easily and quickly. Donovan has sourced parts from many countries around the word, including Canada, USA, Australia, UK, Germany, China, and Hong Kong.
Can my broken (insert name here!) be fixed?
Donovan is really good at fixing things. The variety of device that have been fixed at Can-Tek is unbelievable! Chances are, what ever you have that needs attention, Donovan has seen it before. A quick phone call and some information, we can give you a good idea, if it is fixable, and a rough cost.
